Working With Young People

Craig Lodge Community has a particular love and care for young people. Our Community grew out of an initiative to help young people grow in faith and holiness and, twenty five years later, our commitment to support young people on their faith journey is as strong as ever.
A Year For God
Our core youth work remains offering young people the transforming experience of spending a year in Community. Over 100 young people have chosen to come and spend a year at Craig Lodge. This year is a time they can use to: deepen their faith, develop a prayer life and find joy and fulfillment in using their talents to serve others. For many young people this ‘spiritual gap year’ is a time of discernment and a way of discovering what vocation in life they are being called to.
We run residential youth events at Craig Lodge for 3 age streams from primary school age to over 16s. They include: catechesis, Eucharistic adoration, music, drama, praise and worship, Mass, Reconciliation service. Our aim is always to encourage young people to live and love their faith.
We also run youth ministry at events such as New Dawn in Scotland.
Argyll & the Isles Diocese
We support the work of the Diocesan Youth Officer for Argyll & the Isles, hosting events here at Craig Lodge or supporting missions in parishes and schools.
