Craig Lodge Outreach
Working With Young People
Craig Lodge Community has a particular love and care for young people. Over 90 young people have chosen to come and spend a year at Craig Lodge. This year is a time they can use to: deepen their faith, develop a prayer life and find joy and fulfilment in using their talents to serve others. For many young people it is a time of discernment and a way of discovering what vocation in life they are being called to.Youth Events at Craig Lodge Family House of Prayer
Our retreat programme includes events specially designed for young people. These include our Easter Triduum retreat,
Summer Youth Festival and Advent retreats.
These events feature teachings, Eucharistic adoration, music, drama,
praise and worship, Mass, Reconciliation service, prayers for healing and are a
great chance to meet other young people trying to live the Faith
Schools
Outreach
Craig Lodge Community run missions in secondary schools, sometimes it may just
be for one session to one year group, sometime a whole retreat. If you would like us to visit your school please contact us on T: 01838200216 E: mail@craiglodge.org
Pilgrimage
We take a group of young people on pilgrimage to attend the International Youth
Festival at Medjugojre each year.
Argyll
& the Isles Diocese
We support the work of the Diocesan Youth Officer for Argyll & the Isles,
hosting events here at Craig Lodge or supporting missions in parishes and
schools. At the request of our Bishop,
Joseph Toal, this work has been placed under the patronage of St Mary of the
Cross MacKillop
Working With Families
Families are ALWAYS welcome at Craig Lodge! We are committed to supporting family life and one of they ways we do this is by running Family Week retreats. These retreats are designed to give parents and children a chance to enjoy Craig Lodge and to help families find ways of praying together.
These retreats are proving very popular with families who appreciate the child care provided by the Community that allows parents to participate in talks and discussions. The daily Mass and prayer times are all tailored to suit young children.
Reaching Out
We are always looking at ways we can share the good news with others. We put on a Nativity Play at Christmas. This year we hope Nell our donkey (kindly gifted to us by friends from Ireland) will play a starring role!
