“If you want to be very happy live a simple, humble life” Our Lady Queen of Peace 1984

In years gone by Craig Lodge was a hunting lodge and it retains much of its ‘old-world’ character.  Calum and Mary Anne MacFarlane-Barrow ran it as a guest house up until their decision to turn it into a House of Prayer.  It was also home to them and their five children and it is important to us that we maintain this ‘family’ feel. Craig Lodge is now home to our Community and we hope you feel at home here too during your stay with us.

Craig Lodge is set in seven acres of woods and gardens and looks south across a valley with spectacular mountain views on either side.  We are a mile from the village of Dalmally which in earlier times was known as Clachan Diseart or ‘township of the holy retreat’ in beautiful Argyll.

We have family rooms, triples, twins and singles and can accommodate up to 40 overnight plus day visitors.  The bedrooms either have ensuite facilities or share a bathroom with one other room on the same floor.  Our home-cooked food is simple, in keeping with the ethos of our Community, and we do not serve meat on Wednesdays or Fridays.  We keep hens so we can enjoy nice fresh eggs and try and grow as much of our own vegetables as we can!   If you have a dietary requirement we need to know about then please let us know when you make your booking so we can provide suitable meals for you.

There is a pantry where guests can help themselves to tea and coffee at any time.

We have a small shop that sells religious items, cards, cds and books.
