Mary's Meals
“I invite you to be apostles of love and goodness."
Mary’s Meals is a movement to set up school feeding projects in places where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The education they receive is their best hope of escaping poverty in later life. The charity has its head office at Craig Lodge. It all grew from a simple response to the suffering of the refugees caught up in the horror of the Balkans war in 1992. Craig Lodge Community appealed for food and blankets that Magnus and Fergus MacFarlane-Barrow drove out to Medjugorje for the refugees that had gathered there. What was supposed to be a one-off aid delivery led to the establishment of a registered overseas aid charity. Since then the work has grown and expanded and today over 500,000 children receive a daily meal in school.
Our Vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education.

give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us for the times when
we take more than our share of
the bread that belongs to all.
Let us help You fill the starving
with good things
not with scraps from our table.
Teach us how to share what is not
ours to keep.
Clothe us with Your love
that we may complete each good
work you created us to do.
Place in our hearts Your
compassion for each starving
child
and use our little acts of love

that they starve no more.

Mary’s Meals Monthly Mass
We organize a Mass for Mary’s Meals on the last Tuesday of each month at Craig Lodge. You are most welcome to attend. Please contact us in advance to confirm time.
Mary’s Meals Pilgrimage
