Craig Lodge Community News  Snippets.

  • Another Gibney Girl - Denis Gibney was one of the founding members of Krizevac Community – the youth community that after 10 years became Craig Lodge Community.  He met Sharon in Medjugorje and after completing his year in Dalmally they married and settled in Texas (where Sharon had grown up).  The birth of Clare Ellen adds a fourth daughter to the Gibney family.  Congratulations from everyone at Craig!

  • Mary’s Meals - is a campaign that aims to overcome poverty by providing poor children with meals in school.  The idea is that through encouraging chronically poor children into the classroom with a daily meal they will gain the education that can lift them out of poverty in later life.  The campaign is named after Mary the mother of Jesus because she too faced bringing up a child in poverty.  The campaign has grown rapidly since its first project in Malawi in 2002 feeding 200 orphans.   Today around 80 000 children are receiving meals every day!  Please pray that this work continues to be blessed and more hungry children can be fed
  • Maria Byars - is spending a few weeks in Liberia writing up reports on SIR’s projects.  These range from; a mobile health clinic, supporting a leper settlement, Mary’s Meals school feeding projects, sending supplies of school back packs and a newly opened trades school.  We are also hoping to develop a maternity service.  We are praying hard for you Maria…
  • CLC and L’Arche - The Community has been enjoying new links with L’Arche as members come to Craig Lodge to take a break and join in community life.
  • Prayer Intentions - Please pray for:  Oonagh and her family and for Sally.
  • Medjugorje Visit - Ruth & Magnus visited Medjugorje to represent SIR at the Leaders’ Conference run by the parish each year.  As ever it was a blessing to be in Medjugorje especially during this 25th anniversary year.
